Theoretical
Fusion research is very much related to finding solutions to the problems of safe and abundant sources of energy for the future. Another part of the
research is funded by the National Science Foundation and involves the analysis of neutron-nucleus interaction data to gain better theoretical understanding of the nuclear force. Nuclear models are used
to predict scattering patterns and then refined to better explain the results gained from actual experiments.
