EMPLOYMENT

Ohio University, Athens, August 2001 - present

Associate Professor (September 2005 - present). Assistant Professor (September 2001 - August 2005).

University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, August 1996 - July 2001

Research Assistant Professor. Research in nuclear astrophysics and few-nucleon physics. In addition I taught a one-semester course each year.

University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, August 1994 - July 1996

Post-doctoral associate at the Triangle Universities Nuclear Laboratory. Research in nuclear astrophysics and few-nucleon physics.

California Institute of Technology, September 1988 - June 1994

Research assistant at the Kellogg Radiation Laboratory. Measured nuclear-reaction cross sections important for the formation of the elements (nucleosynthesis), with particular emphasis on reactions taking place during the Big Bang.

CEB Metasystems, Santa Barbara, CA, June 1987 - August 1988

Developed FORTRAN, C, and Pascal software for space-related applications at a small company. Performed numerical study of light scattering by small (1-100 micron) particles.

Naval Weapons Center, China Lake, CA, September 1983 - June 1984 and July 1985 - September 1985

Developed data analysis and acquisition software for studying the effects of intense laser radiation on optical coatings at a Navy laboratory.
